- Completed a third mission trip to Porgera Hospital in Papua New Guinea
- Expanded In Sickness & In Health television and radio series to include monthly physician-led seminars for the community on a variety of health and wellness topics
- Organized Let’s Talk Food, a National Food Day event that drew nearly 1,000 visitors to the hospital’s campus
- Participated in the I love Kailua town party, providing hundreds with health screenings and education, as well as dispersed free bike helmets and fittings for children
- Donated hospital beds and laptop carts to Reach Out Pacific, which works to improve health care throughout the Pacific
- Hosted the second Hawaii Neuroscience Symposium, which addressed dementia and health care in Hawaii; 53 physicians and 16 health organizations participated

- Held first Skype consult between a CMC cardiac surgeon and orthopedic surgeon, and a physician and patient at Pogera Hospital in Papua New Guinea
- Contributed toward the purchase of 192 iPads for the state Department of Education

- Medical staff members donated Christmas trees and ornaments to Weinberg Village in Waimanalo (transitional housing)

- Acquired state approval to provide open-heart surgery
- Designated by The Joint Commission as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures, received the Community Value Five-Star Award from Cleverly + Associates, and received the Silver Quality Achievement Award for stroke from the American Heart Association
- Won 17 Excellence in Healthcare Awards from the Professional Research Consultants, Inc. and was recognized by Studer Group for achieving excellent quality scores in physician satisfaction
- Received CEO Cancer Gold Standard™ accreditation
- Launched the Windward Partner’s Coalition with Windward health care organizations, which addresses needs of patients as they move from one care setting to another
- Held the 22nd Chip in for Castle Charity Golf Tournament, which raised $103,000
