- Employees volunteered more than 835 hours at non-profit organizations in Simi Valley and Moorpark through the employee community service program
- Provided event sponsorship for 37 community based non-profit organizations
- Administered free prostate cancer screenings, flu shots and glucose screenings at various community events, as well as sponsored community blood drives

- Partnered with Ventura County Emergency Medical Services in Sidewalk CPR community education program
- Participated in statewide Golden Guardian & Great California Shake-Out disaster drills as part of overall hospital disaster preparedness planning

- Launched Emergency Department expansion project construction
- Commenced construction of new GI and cardiac catheterization labs
- Performed Simi Valley Hospital’s first Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair and Ventura County’s first single-incision laparoscopic cholecystectomy
- Developed a stroke program that achieved inclusion in the Ventura County Stroke Network
- Achieved California Department of Public Health (CDPH) full certification for Adventist Health/Home Care Services of Simi Valley Hospital, maximum two-year College of American Pathologists lab accreditation and successful completion of NSF International Survey of Food and Nutrition Services and CDPH Patient Safety Licensing Survey
- Implemented parking lot shuttle service
- Received American Red Cross recognition for outstanding support of community blood supply and recognized by Simi Valley City Council for contributions to community
